FBS-1V - Single Channel A/B Switch

A/B Switching
The FBS-1V is an A/B switch designed to provide cost-effective A/B switching of a single V.35 digital interface. The digital interface is equipped with industry standard female V.35 connectors. The FBS-1V functions as a standalone unit or integrates into a network wide, fallback system when used in conjunction with other Cornet Technology, Inc. switching products such as the MTX or IPS-16/32 series. Applications include ISDN backup, dial backup, and equipment substitution.
FBS-1V models are also available to support a variety of carrier services including 2, 4, and 6-wire analog and DSL interfaces.

Lead Controlled Switching
Circuitry in the FBS-1V monitors the control leads of the B-side V.35 connector. A jumper setting enables or disables lead control and additional jumpers select one or more leads (“or” function) to be monitored. Additionally, the user may select switching when a lead goes to the “on” state or the “off” state. Should the monitored lead(s) change to the “on/off” state, the switch will go to the B position. When the asserted lead drops, the switch will revert to the A position. Monitored leads include RTS, CTS, DSR, RLSD, and DTR.

Reliability
The mature design of FBS-1V gives it an historical return rate of less than 1/4 of 1%. This return rate
reflects the stability of the design, the consistency of the manufacturing process, and the overall product quality.
